In the Southern Carolina coastal city of Charleston, every corner reveals an architectural gem. Located at the luxury boutique property, The Pinch Hotel, is the Lowland Tavern, a new dining experience from James Beard Award-winning Chef, Jason Dean Stanhope. Lowland Tavern spans two floors of the historic Greek Revival Lequeux-Williams home on George Street.

Inside, Architecture & Interior firm, Method Studio, has created a tasting menu tavern that both modernizes and retains the 19th century charm of the home. Think restored wood-burning fireplaces, an antique copper bar, emerald green banquettes, leather-clad armchairs, a parlour room, and a hand painted mural of Spanish moss and cypress trees by Dean Barger Studios.

The 40-seat dining room is helmed by the 5 Palms Chandelier by Aqua Creations, a member of the Palms Family Collection. Handcrafted by our studio, the fixture takes inspiration from nature while playing with movement and grace. Its highly-stylized and curvilinear branches are composed of hand-bent metallic tubes, which are then wrapped in a luxurious dark bronze organza fabric. Each of the five shades are detachable and designed in “Sand” Silk from the Color Codex.
