Interiors by Aqua: Montecito Mountain Home
Nestled between the Santa Ynez Mountains and blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, Montecito is a Southern California enclave where indoor-outdoor living reigns supreme. The Barker Residence was designed by Los Angeles-based Abramson Architects, and sits on a sprawling hillside lot.
The home’s architectural narrative mixes old and new, evoking the charm of an old-world village. The stucco exterior of the home is covered in Santa Barbara fieldstone, while its interior structure is composed of vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams. Connecting the gardens to the living space, the main dining area features steel-framed glass doors that allow an al-fresco experience.
Hanging above the chic dining table, Abramson Architects chose to create a custom chandelier cluster from a number of pendant pieces from the Morning Glory Collection of Aqua Creations. Featuring the Dippa Pendant Light, Suuria Pendant Lights and Suuria Son Pendant Lights, each are clad in Aqua’s signature “Sand” Silk from the Color Codex.
