The Materials & Product Care
We use natural materials for our lampshades that compliment the organic shapes and sculptural design of our lamps.

Materials play a central role in how our lighting is conceived and experienced; each material is selected to balance delicacy and durability while creating distinct spatial and sensory effects. Through ongoing research and experimentation, we adapt traditional techniques and contemporary processes to create lighting objects that are both expressive and technically refined.
Woven in South India from wild silk fibers, this natural material is chosen for its strength, durability, and rich texture. In its raw form, the fabric reveals its organic tones and natural variation.
Special commercial grade resin coating is available upon request. It is highly recommended for pieces intended for public installations or areas of humidity or smoke. This coating does not change the appearance of the silk, but strengthens its texture.

Carefully remove the felted sleeve by pulling it upwards and send for dry cleaning. Keep away from direct sunlight and keep strictly to cleaning materials designated for organic textile.
We cut and shape our wooden elements using Computer Numerical Control machines, which give us pin-point accuracy. We use two main types of wood: Red Mahogany and American Oak.
Use any wood cleaning material on a soft cloth and gently apply to the wood. Avoid contacting silk or origami paper parts of the lamp with the cloth while cleaning.
We collaborated with origami artist Ilan Garibi to design a unique origami paper lampshade for our Molecules Family. The design features intricate, tessellated molecules. Origami paper perfectly diffuses soft light and is strong enough to hold its intricate shape.
Our origami lampshades are made of the best quality origami paper which easily resists environmental influences and changes. We recommend regular dry dusting with a feather duster or a very soft (paint) brush in order to maintain the appearance and quality.
Our cocooning polymer lighting fixtures are made by taking the lamp’s metal or laser-cut wooden structure and spraying it with ‘cocoon’ polymer to create a light diffuser. The result, such as the ToTeM Family, is a soft luminosity that can transform the character of an interior in an instant.

The studio's latest material offering is our raw handmade paper, currently featured on the Raw Mobile Hanging Lights. Natural Mulberry bark fibers are embedded within a traditional Japanese Kozo paper. Eye-catching and intriguing, this translucent cream-colored material creates an organic and warm feel, bringing ambiance to a variety of settings.
