Interiors by Aqua: West Coast Canadian Home
Located in Vancouver, Jennifer Heffel and Alex McFadyen of HB Design were tasked with designing the West side home of a couple returning to Canada after years of living in Mauritius. The interiors take inspiration from the couple’s world travels, melding an eclectic collection of acquired furniture from multiple countries within the modernist structure.
Inside, polished concrete floors and industrial elements are softened with a brick-clad fireplace and walls, along with wicker, leather, linen and wooden furniture pieces. The main living and dining area features warm amber and red hues, with sliding floor-to-ceiling glass doors that bring indoor-outdoor living to the home.
Above the gorgeous wooden dining table is a custom Grace Kinetic Mobile Light from Aqua Creations. The organic fixture is a member of the studio’s Creations collection, fully customizable and bespoke work tailored to extraordinary spaces. This Grace’s five shades are clad in “Sand” Silk from the Color Codex. Their movement is driven by the natural air currents, turning as if by magic.
